Talent

We began teaching Daisy tricks for fun and she is such a wonderful student.  She thinks the game of learning is very exciting.  She knows:  Plays dead, prays, crawl, roll over, take a bow, be sad (head on floor between paws either down or in bow position) high five, carries baskets, toys, etc, pulls her red wagon, puts her toys in her toy box, retrieves daily paper, kisses on command, speaks on command, holds paw up either sitting or standing, spins left and right on command, knows hand signals for stand, down, sit and spin left and right, target trained and she’s one great model!!!

Everyone says she should be on television so we thought we would try to do just that.

Daisy was invited by our local Humane Society to be the “Celebrity Pet” for their television program, “Pets on Parade ”,  where they promote their shelter animals to new homes.  Daisy did many of her tricks for the camera crew, the program host and shelter staff.  Daisy was quite comfortable performing in spite of the fact that I was very nervous. The show ran for several weeks.

Recently released is a new book published by Random House called, “Do You Look Like Your Dog?”  Daisy and I are featured among 100 other dog/owner look-alikes.
